Indie rock from Boston, MA. The Deep North was formed by guitarist Nick Twohig and pianist Brad Couture in the winter of 2010. Originally intended as a studio project, the two enlisted the help of close friend and former bandmate Dan Nakhoul on bass guitar in early 2011.

After months of writing and rehearsing, The Deep North made a gradual and organic transition from studio project to full-fledged band with the addition of vocalist Rebecca Frank and drummer Nick Angelo in 2012.

The Deep North EP, released 11/13/12, was recorded at Labyrinth Audio in Billerica, MA with Keith Gentile, and mixed by Sonny DiPerri (30 Seconds to Mars, Trent Reznor, Portugal the Man) at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, CA.
