Servitude 04:25
When you've gone too far To save yourself and abandon ship All those blinding stars Swim for shore or set adrift You've been broken for so long You're lost in the prayers you speak You've sung the poets songs Yeah you take those words just like a thief If those prophets are wrong Would you believe it's all in your head And if science is wrong Would you sail with me right over the edge You've been broken for so long You're lost in the prayers you speak You've sung the poets songs Yeah you take those words just like a thief Are you going, going with me Did you lose yourself in the sound of the city Would it make it any easier if I just let you be Did you lose yourself in the sound When it's been too long You sleep through days that should never start It's where you belong When waking up is the hardest part You've been broken for so long You're lost in the prayers you speak You've sung the poets songs Yeah you take those words just like a thief Oh my my my, I've watched you sail Shipwrecked sailors can't tell their tails So follow the morning light from east to west When you find the night forget the rest Are you going, going with me Did you lose yourself in the sound of the city Would it make it any easier if I just let you be Did you lose yourself in the sound of the city Are you going, going with me Did you lose yourself in the sound of the city Would it make it any easier if I just let you be Did you lose yourself in the sound

Look at these hands, you can take them both I'll be using them to kill Look at these eyes, you can take them away I've been trying to keep them still When I'm lost and I'm down You're my friend who's always around Look at these clothes, you can tear them too I'm just a man dressed like new I got so high, I could nearly fly, I touched the sky But after all, how the mighty fall, you've seen it all You've seen it all When I'm falling down why do you sing hallelujah When I'm screaming out while you sing hallelujah Look at this heart, you can take it out It has been deceiving me Better to let it go, then to lose your soul It doesn't mean a thing to me When I'm lost and I'm down You're my friend who's always around Look at these shoes, you can take them too I'll just keep running away from you I got so high, I could nearly fly, I touched the sky But after all, how the mighty fall, you've seen it all You've seen it all When I'm falling down why do you sing hallelujah When I'm screaming out while you sing hallelujah Wasted all this time trying to say I don't need you But we both know you're where I go When the wind blows up against me But we both know you're where I go Through the window you're all I see But we both know you're where I go

It's like taking that first step outside with nowhere to go But maybe you should I know you're well deserving Would you go if you could I see you shine Step back, stand out, I see you shine Forty days and forty nights I felt the rains, these heavens coming down You love this place, must be your fate It's a part of you Step back, stand out, I see you shine Step back, stand out, I see you shine I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine The last you'll remember is the way the light cut through the haze You held on, found yourself, found yourself better days I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine I'm here with everybody Perfect weather makes you shine It's like taking that first step outside with nowhere to go But maybe you should

Hold Out 04:32
Oh, I'm ready, ready to give up the fight Oh, I'm ready, ready to call it a night Twisted and tied down for the ride once again I've been here before, a room with no door in my head Oh, I'm ready, ready to give up the fight And I can't find the words to say These things just get in the way These things just get in the way Hold out, hold out, if you tire out If you hold out... Oh, I'm waiting, waiting for changing tides Oh, I'm waiting, waiting to arrive Twisted and tied, down for the ride once again I've been here before, a room with no door in my head I can't find the words to say These things just get in the way These things just get in the way Hold out, hold out, if you tire out If you hold out Hold out, hold out... These moments pass like lines on the road And I'm taken back Another drink and I'm leaving alone These words they lack If I fade away, if I fade away Don't leave me this way, don't walk away If I fade away, if I fade away Don't leave me this way, don't walk away And I, I can't find the words to say These things just get in the way And I, I can't find the words to say These things just get in the way These things just get in the way Hold out, hold out, if you tire out If you hold out Hold out, hold out...

It's the reason I wake when she stirs It's the smirk on my face when all the covers are hers I can hear the rain before you wake It's the feeling I get to know you're safe, beside me It's the sound before the world outside (Breathe in) Has a chance to shape your life (Breathe in) When you're far away I'll be there where ever you go When you're far away It's the way she craves and implores It's the smirk on my face when she wants more I can see that look on your mind It's your outline that still lies besides me It's the sound before the world outside (Breathe in) Has a chance to shape your life (Breathe in) When you're far away I'll be there where ever you go When you're far away And I'll be there where ever you go When you're far away And she sleeps in a world I once knew as a child When you're far away And I'll be there where ever you go When you're far away

about

Satellites Fall is a New England based band eloquently combining elements of Indie, Brit, and Alternative Rock.

In February of 2012, Satellites Fall released their first EP, "Lines on the Road", which received positive reviews. The track "Servitude" gained them entry into 95.5 WBRU's Rock Hunt where they finished as semi-finalists. "Servitude" along with "Perfect Weather" were used on several compilations and received mainstream radio play. In addition, "Servitude" was featured in an episode of the youtube comedy series "Adults Only".

The band has supported numerous national acts and remains a very active band with a rigorous gigging schedule. They have has won various competitions and has been voted artist of the month in several publications. The band is scheduled to start recording their follow up EP, "Pascal's Wager", in late 2012/early 2013 with a grammy award winning, world class producer.

Reviews:

"Imagine a brit-indie sound that mixes elements of The Killers with elements of The Cure."
- Alex Kantarelis, The Pulse Magazine (Jul 12, 2012)

"Satellites Fall has released the blueprint for things to come. An exceptionally produced example of what happens when a group of serious and professional minded guys follow their hearts into the recording studio. Five tracks that sound a bit like a cage match between Radiohead, Coldplay and the Foo Fighters in which the quirkiness of Radiohead and the pop sensibilities of Coldplay come out on top."
- George Dow, The Deli Magazine - New England (Mar 29, 2012)

"Ever hear a song that you feel this insatiable need to run through a few times? That’s what hit me right off the bat as I listened to Satellites Fall’s EP, Lines on the Road. For this album, you’ll want to let this run on repeat, and trust me when I say that it’s time well spent."
- Max Bowen, Noise Magazine (Online) (Apr 01, 2012)

"'Lines On The Road’ takes you everywhere you wanted to go with every album you’ve ever bought; heady, rocky, music bliss!… …amazing vocals… …'The World Outside' is definitely a favorite…"
- Rev. ScareKrowe K, FUR dot FM (Mar 08, 2012)

"I can't argue with their self-proclaimed description as a 'creative blend of beautiful melody, thoughtful lyrics, and harmonious song structure' when hearing their current single 'Servitude.' Regardless of the (Rock Hunt) outcome, this one should stick in the rotation at 'BRU."
- Chris Conti, Providence Phoenix (Mar 01, 2012)

"Satellites Fall are quickly becoming a rising star within their native Massachusetts Rock Scene."
- Chris Brach, Rocksposure dot com (Feb 21, 2012)

"For 'Lines on the Road', Satellites Fall's first official release, the band sheds some of their Foo Fighters-ish bombast in favor of a subtler indie-pop. This time out, Satellites Fall let their inner Radiohead shine through. 'Servitude' sets the tone with a contemporary take on The Cure and Echo & The Bunnymen. 'Hold Out', the EP's standout track, shines with its more complex mix. Here, the drumming stands out, while the vocals show their widest range. Any time you kick Dave Grohl to the curb for Thom Yorke you'll come out on top - a fact proven by Satellites Fall with 'Lines on the Road'."
- George Dow, Noise Magazine (Print) Issue 320 (April 2012)

"Combining elements of indie, Brit and alternative rock, Satellites Fall are new to the local music scene but have already made a name for themselves."
- Jessica A. Botelho, Limelight Magazine (May 21, 2012)
